Got Inspire in September 2023

After dealing with a CPAP machine for 20 years and still being exhausted, I needed a change and that is exactly what Inspire did for me. I can drive, watch tv without falling asleep or wanting too. However, the best thing Inspire has done for me is increase my energy and allowing me to feel great when I wake up.

Interests: Cycling, skiing, anything outdoors, guitar, LEGO, travel, dogs

Why I chose Inspire therapy to treat my sleep apnea: CPAP was not effective at all it seemed. I was desperate for something new. I did research online and decided worse case, just turn it off. While I wish I knew about the Ambassador program, I went with my gut. No regrets.

In a few short words, I would describe Inspire therapy as: From considering Inspire to the time of implant, it is a process: sleep studies, ENT appointments, turning on the device and tweaking the Inspire voltage. It takes time, but it is all worth the benefits I get from Inspire therapy.

Why am I a patient ambassador? I want to fill in the gaps that patients might be wondering about but can only get answers from someone who has the Inspire device. I wish I had know about the Ambassadors who are here as a resource to patients, and now as an Ambassador, I want to help those considering Inspire.
